Roshan Navacodi of Toronto arrested in pedestrian fatality

INVESTIGATORS from Peel Regional Police’s Major Collision Bureau have arrested Roshan Navacodi of Toronto in a pedestrian fatality involving a dump truck in the City of Mississauga.

On Tuesday, October 17, at approximately 11 a.m., a pedestrian was struck by a dump truck at Dixie Road and Rathburn Road in Mississauga. The dump truck continued to travel northbound along Dixie Road after the collision, failing to stop at the scene.

The pedestrian, Clayton Barnard, a 36-year-old male from Mississauga, succumbed to his injures at the scene.

The dump truck involved in the collision was located shortly after and processed for examination.

On Tuesday, January 9, Navacodi was arrested and charged with ‘fail to remain cause death’ under the Criminal Code of Canada and ‘careless driving’ under the Highway Traffic Act. He was released on a promise to appear with a court date of Monday, February 12, at the A. Grenville and William Davis Court in the City of Brampton.
