TWO lanes, one in each direction, on Alex Fraser Bridge will be closed nightly beginning Tuesday, August 6, according to the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure.

The closures are expected to be ongoing until August 18 and will allow crews to continue working on improving capacity to the Alex Fraser Bridge with an additional lane and moveable barrier system. Crews will remove the southbound painted lines and then begin applying the permanent lane lines.

Drivers are reminded that the maximum speed limit on the bridge is now 70 km/h.
