Serious motor vehicle collision in 15700-block of 104th Avenue in Surrey

UPDATE: The driver is dead. His vehicle hit a tree in front of a house.

ON Monday, August 5 at approximately 11 p.m., Surrey RCMP responded to a single vehicle collision in the 15700-block of 104th Avenue in the Guildford area.

Initial indications are that there are serious potentially life-threatening injuries involved in this collision, police said.

Traffic in the area will be affected for an undetermined period of time as officers continue their investigation, with 104th Avenue remaining shut down for all westbound traffic at 160th Street and for all eastbound traffic at 156th Street. The public are requested to avoid the area until further notice.
The investigation into the collision is in its early stages. Investigators are seeking witnesses who observed the collision, or who observed the vehicle prior to the collision, to contact the Surrey RCMP. Investigators are also seeking any available dash-cam video.
