AT approximately 1:09 a.m. on Sunday, August 16, Abbotsford Police patrol officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 2100-block of Enderby Street.

Officers determined that an occupied residence had been struck by gunshots. Fortunately, the residents, who were asleep at the time of the incident, were not injured.

The investigation has been assumed by Abbotsford Police’s Major Crime Unit, which is working to determine the circumstances and motive behind the shooting. At this stage, investigators do not believe the incident is connected to extortion-related violence.

Investigators are asking anyone who was in the area of McMillan Road and the surrounding neighbourhoods between 12 a.m. and 1:30 a.m. on August 16 who may have witnessed suspicious activity, or has dashcam footage that could assist the investigation, to contact the Abbotsford Police Department at 604-859-5225.
