ONTARIO: Can you identify South Asian suspect in Brampton stabbing?

ONTARIO’S Peel Regional Police investigators are asking for assistance in identifying a suspect following a stabbing on a Brampton transit bus.

On Wednesday, October 1 at approximately 9:30 p.m., an altercation between two males took place aboard a Brampton transit bus near Bramalea Road and Bovaird. The victim, a man in his 20s, was approached by the suspect when a physical altercation occurred.

The suspect then began to attack the victim with an edged weapon. The victim was stabbed multiple times and seriously injured. Fortunately, his injuries were not life-threatening. The suspect, who was a stranger to the victim, fled the area on foot.

The suspect is described as South Asian, of medium build, with a stubble beard and glasses. He has tattoos on his right forearm. He was wearing a white long-sleeve shirt, blue jeans, and a black hat with a Toronto Raptors logo.

If seen, members of the public are asked to dial 9-1-1 and not approach.
