ONTARIO’S Peel Regional Police announced on Saturday that detectives from the Homicide Bureau have made additional arrests in connection to a shooting homicide that occurred in Brampton.
On Friday, August 30, officers responded to a residential address on Milestone Drive in Brampton where they located an adult male deceased in a vehicle. He had been shot. At the family’s request, police are not releasing the victim’s identity.
Shortly before midnight on August 30, Parmvir Singh was arrested and charged with first-degree murder.
Now, Manvir Khabra, a 21-year-old male from Brampton, has been arrested and charged with manslaughter.
Also, an 18-year-old male from Brampton, has been arrested and charged with manslaughter.
Both males were held for bail hearings at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
The 18-year-old was a youth at the time of the incident.
A general provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (Y.C.J.A.) prohibits the release of a young person’s name; therefore, the identity of the young person charged in this investigation is protected, police said.
