ONTARIO: Rahul Sahota, 24, of Brampton charged with attempted murder

ONTARIO’S Peel Regional Police have arrested an individual in connection to a shooting incident that took place in the City of Brampton.

On Tuesday, August 13, the victims were in the area of Gardenbrooke Trail and Castlemore Road in the City of Brampton. The suspect met with the victims and allegedly shot at them multiple times. The victims suffered serious, non-life-threatening injuries as a result.

On Monday, October 7, Rahul Sahota, a 24-year-old man from Brampton, was arrested and charged with the following offences:

  • Discharge Firearm with intent
  • Attempt Murder (two counts)
  • Possession of Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
  • Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
  • Possession of Firearm Contrary to Order
  • Aggravated Assault
  • Obstruct Peace Officer

He was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
