THE Pattullo Bridge will be closed in both directions overnight on Sunday, July 14, to allow for a detailed railing inspection from the bridge deck.
The inspection will beĀ carried out by a snooper truckĀ that takes up multiple lanes of traffic. This routine inspection is needed as part of the ongoing maintenance program for the Pattullo Bridge.
To ensure the safety of all workers, the Pattullo Bridge will be fully closed to traffic on Sunday, July 14 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. The bridge will remain open to pedestrians, cyclists, and first responders at all times.
Pattullo Bridge users are encouraged to take the Port Mann or Alex Fraser bridges as alternatives. N19 NightBus trips affected by the bridge closure will be rerouted over the Alex Fraser and Queensborough bridges between New Westminster and Scott Road stations.
Signage will indicate all traffic pattern changes and traffic control personnel will be on-site. Motorists and transit customers should plan for up to 30 minutes of additional travel time.
TransLink thanks bridge users and neighbours for their patience during this essential work. Customers are encouraged to checkĀ Transit AlertsĀ and useĀ Trip PlannerĀ for more information.
