SURREY RCMP are at the scene of a fatal collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.

On Wednesday, February 26 at approximately 6 p.m., Surrey RCMP were called to a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in the 10200-block of Highway 17.

The pedestrian has been pronounced dead on the scene. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is co-operating. The incident is still under investigation. Highway 17 will remain closed to traffic between Nordel Way and Tannery Road for several more hours.
