Pedestrian dies after being struck by a vehicle

VANCOUVER Police are investigating the death of a 74-year-old woman who was struck by a vehicle in West Point Grey on Monday.

The woman was walking in the intersection of West 10th Avenue and Sasamat Street just before 5 p.m. when she was struck by a vehicle making a turn. The woman was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with police.

This is Vancouver’s sixth pedestrian fatality of 2020.
