Pedestrian-involved motor vehicle collision now a fatal collision

RIDGE Meadows RCMP said on Thursday that the victim in the serious pedestrian-involved motor vehicle incident that occurred on March 9 has unfortunately passed away.

The 91-year-old male pedestrian, who was riding a mobility scooter at the time, has succumbed to his injuries.

Officers are continuing their investigation and proceeding through all the necessary investigative steps.

This is the second fatal pedestrian traffic collision of the year in Maple Ridge.

Ridge Meadows RCMP is also still investigating the city’s most recent pedestrian collision that occurred on March 10. No further updates are available at this time, police said.
