ABBOTSFORD Emergency Services responded to a collision involving a pedestrian and a car in the 2100-block of Riverside Road on Saturday, November 13.

The pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital by BC Ambulance. The driver of the car remained on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

Integrated Collision Analysis Reconstruction Service (ICARS), AbbyPD Patrol and Traffic Officers remain on scene. Riverside Road is currently closed between Marshall Road and West Railway Street. Abbotsford Police will provide an update on their social media once the road reopens.

Investigators are seeking witnesses and dashcam footage from those who may have been travelling along Riverside Road just before the collision. If you can assist, you are requested to call the Abbotsford Police Department at 604-859-5225
