Pedestrian sustains life-threatening injuries in Richmond

ON Sunday, November 1, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Richmond RCMP responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle in the 8500-block of Cambie Road. The pedestrian was transported to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. The name of the pedestrian has not been released as police are attempting to locate their family members.

The driver of the vehicle remained at scene and is co-operating with police. Alcohol and speed have been ruled out as contributing factors in this collision. The incident is still under investigation.

The roads in the 8500-block of Cambie Road between Sexsmith Road and Brown Road have been re-opened.
