Peel Police seek public help after stolen vehicle found burning, Hasham Anjun arrested

INVESTIGATORS from the 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau of Peel Regional Police are seeking the public’s assistance after a stolen vehicle was located burning in Brampton.

On July 2, at about 6:15 p.m., police attended 475 Father Tobin Road in Brampton (Lougheed Public School) and located a 2003 Jeep Liberty fully engulfed in fire. The investigation determined the jeep had been stolen. A canvas of the neighbourhood led investigators to one suspect, who has been arrested and charged.

Hasham Anjum, 19, of Brampton, has been charged with possession of stolen property and arson.

Police are asking the public’s assistance to identify eight other males that were present at the scene. It is recommended the suspects seek representation and turn themselves in.
