Proof of vaccination required for some City of Vancouver programs, events, activities

TO align with the Provincial Health Officer’s order, starting Monday, the City of Vancouver is now requiring proof of vaccination for some of its programs, events and activities, including those run by the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation, Vancouver Civic Theatres, the Vancouver Public Library, and by other organizations hosting events at its facilities.

Entry into most buildings including City Hall, libraries, and recreation centres does not require proof of vaccination, but is required for some programs, events and activities, including: fitness centres and weight rooms, indoor adult sports gatherings, golf course clubhouses, and all indoor events and activities held at any Vancouver Civic Theatres location. A complete list is available on the City’s web site.

Proof of vaccination is not required to attend a City Council meeting in person or when visiting the City’s public service counters, but wearing a mask is mandatory.

The City asks that the public check individual facility, program and event listings before they visit and to come prepared with their official proof of vaccination and government-issued photo ID.
