A sporty, stylish blast from the past returns as the Ford Ranger adds the Splash™ Package for the 2022 model year. Ranger Splash Package includes distinctive body-side graphics, unique matte black wheels, orange and black trim inside and out, and specially designed seats For Ford Ranger fans, the Splash™ is the much-loved special appearance package from the 1990s is making a comeback, reimagined for today and starting with the 2022 Ford Ranger Splash™ Package.

“Ranger customers love to personalize their trucks, and with Splash, we’re giving them something exclusive,” said Chad Callandar, Ford Ranger marketing manager.

The Splash™ Package comes with body-side orange and black graphics and special 18-inch 12-spoke wheels finished in matte black. Ranger Splash includes orange grille nostrils, plus gloss black accents on the grille, bumpers, rearview mirror caps, wheel lip mouldings and fender vents. The interior features exclusive seats with orange contrast stitching and unique carbon grain with tuxedo stripes – leather-trimmed in Lariat. Orange contrast stitching also appears on the steering wheel, gear shifter and parking brake boot. Lariat models get orange accent stitching on front and rear armrests and on the dash top. The Splash Package, available throughout 2022,. In Canada, it will be available on the XLT and Lariat for $1,700, and can be combined with the FX4 off-road package. The first batch will be the Splash Snow Edition.

“Ranger customers love to individualize their trucks,” said Callandar, adding that more than 80 per cent of U.S. buyers customize their Rangers with appearance packages. “Every few months, we’re going to roll out another exterior colour for Ranger that will be offered one time only, and in very limited quantities.”

Ranger Splash™ Package will be available for SuperCrew models optioned in XLT and Lariat trim series and can be combined with the FX4 Package to add more off-road capability to its distinctive looks.

Inside, Rangers with the Splash package sport seats with orange contrasting stitching and striped carbon-color graining. The steering wheel, shift knob, and parking brake feature orange stitching as well. Upper trim Lariat models add orange accent stitching on the door-mounted armrests and dashboard.

The Splash Limited Edition models with one-time-only exterior color options   will be announced every few months and limited quantities of a few hundred will be offered. The first Splash Limited Edition will be the Snow Edition, which will also get 18-inch matte black wheels and its own exterior and interior content and finishes. Exact details will be released closer to the Splash Package’s on-sale date.

Deliveries are set to begin at the end of the year.
