AT approximately 6 a.m. on Saturday, October 14, Richmond RCMP responded to the 7000-block of Granville Avenue for a collision involving a pedestrian.

The pedestrian was transported to a local area hospital, but succumbed to her injuries.

The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with police. Impairment is not considered a factor in this collision.

Richmond RCMP Criminal Collision Investigation Team (CCIT) and Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) were on scene investigating.
