Surrey RCMP are advising the public that 176 Street between 32 Avenue and 24 Avenue are now open.

SURREY RCMP are advising the public that 176 Street is closed between 32 Avenue and 24 Avenue following a fatal motor vehicle collision.

On Thursday at 5:30 p.m., police responded to a report of a vehicle collision involving a pedestrian. Police, paramedics and Surrey Fire Service attended the scene and located a deceased male.

The investigation is in the early stages and the cause of the collision has not yet been determined. Road closures on 176 Street in both directions between 32 Avenue and 24 Avenue will be in effect for an undetermined amount of time.

Anyone who was in the area and witnessed the collision or has dash camera footage is asked to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502.
