SANTA’S helpers stopped by the Ronald McDonald House at BC Children’s Hospital this week to deliver toys and gifts to some very special kids on the nice list.

On December 20, the Lower Mainland Integrated Emergency Response Team (IERT) arrived Santa-style for their 4th annual volunteer event at the hospital. IERT used their expert repelling skills to carry bags of gifts down the side of the Ronald McDonald House.

“This day is one all of our members look forward to each year,” says Constable Alexandre Lévesque, who has been working to organize this year’s event. “Having the opportunity to spend time with these amazing kids, showing them our equipment and seeing their faces as we drop down and wave through their windows is incredibly special.”

IERT was joined by the Lower Mainland Integrated Police Dog Services (IPDS) and brought their Armoured Response Vehicle (ARV), trucks and other specialized equipment and vehicles.

IERT and IPDS members pooled their resources and worked in collaboration with the Ronald McDonald House and Santa to deliver gifts for a variety of ages and interests.
