Whitecaps FC announced on Friday that Saturday’s crucial final MLS regular season match against Colorado Rapids is sold out. This marks the 11th Whitecaps FC sell-out of the season at BC Place, a new club record since joining MLS in 2011. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. PT at BC Place – TV: TSN1,RADIO: TSN 1410 Vancouver, teamradio.ca, MOBILE: bell.ca/mobiletv, ONLINE: TSN GO.
The best way for fans to secure their seats to every home match next season is by purchasing 2015 Season Tickets. For more information on all Whitecaps FC ticket options, call 604.669.9283 ext. 2 or visitwhitecapsfc.com/tickets.
“This has been another season of continued growth for our club, and with that we’ve had our best year of ticket sales at BC Place,” said Rachel Lewis, Whitecaps FC chief operating officer. “It’s been a tremendously exciting season and we look forward to yet another electric atmosphere on Saturday as we honour Jay DeMerit, look to clinch a playoff spot, and thank our fans for their exceptional support.”
The situation is clear for Whitecaps FC heading into Saturday’s match: win and they’re in the playoffs. However, as illustrated below, Vancouver can also qualify depending on Portland’s result earlier in the day against FC Dallas (kickoff at 5:30 p.m. PT).
- If Portland beat FC Dallas, Whitecaps FC need a win to qualify.
- If Portland draw with FC Dallas, Whitecaps FC need a draw to qualify.
- If Portland lose to FC Dallas, Whitecaps FC will automatically qualify regardless of their result against Colorado.
Should Whitecaps FC clinch the fifth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference, they would play in the Knockout Round (fourth vs. fifth) on the road against either Real Salt Lake or FC Dallas on Wednesday, October 29. If Whitecaps FC were to win the Knockout Round match, they would host Seattle Sounders FC or LA Galaxy in the first leg of the Western Conference semifinal (first vs. fourth/fifth) on either Saturday, November 1or Sunday, November 2 at BC Place.
