ON December 14, emergency crews in Squamish responded to a report of a mudslide which occurred on Highway 99 beside the Brunswick Road exit ramp.

One residence was directly affected because of the mudslide. One of two occupants in the residence was located deceased on December 15 and the search continued for the second occupant.

At approximately 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 21, the body of the second resident was located. The names of the deceased individuals will not be released, Squamish RCMP said.

However, the victims’ family identified them as David and Barbara Enns.
