Serious collision on Highway 10 in Cloverdale (Tuesday update)

TUESDAY UPDATE:

Surrey RCMP are advising the public that the intersection of Highway 10 and 168 Street has been re-opened in all directions.

The driver of the sedan sustained serious injuries and is currently in hospital.

The Surrey RCMP Criminal Collision Investigation Team (CCIT) has taken over conduct of the investigation.

 

SURREY RCMP are advising the public that Highway 10 will be closed in both directions between 168 Street and 172 Street due to a serious collision.

On Monday at 2:49 p.m., Surrey RCMP responded to a report of a collision involving a tractor trailer and a sedan at the intersection of Highway 10 and 168 Street. One driver was transported to hospital with serious injuries.

Due to the serious nature of the collision, Highway 10 will be shut down with traffic control personnel in place. It is requested that the public avoid the area.

The investigation is in the early stages and it is unknown how long the road closure will remain in effect.
