Serious motor vehicle collision on Langley’s 16th Avenue

ON Thursday, July 16 at approximately 12:50 p.m., Langley RCMP responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision between a sports utility vehicle and a commercial truck at the intersection of 208 Street and 16 Avenue in Langley.

First responders from the Township of Langley Fire Department, British Columbia Ambulance Service, and Langley RCMP immediately attended the scene.

“One individual was airlifted to a local area hospital in critical condition,” said Sgt. Zynal Sharoom of Langley RCMP. “The Lower Mainland Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) has been deployed to assist with the investigation.”

Road closures are in effect in the immediate area and are expected to remain in place for several hours while investigators continue their work. Motorists and other road users are asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
