Shots fired at South Asian business in Surrey on Friday night

SURREY Police Service have confirmed to The VOICE that they are investigating a shots fired incident in Surrey’s York Business Centre.

Staff-Sgt. Lindsey Houghton, SPS Senior Media Relations Officer, said the shots fired incident occurred last night between 7 p.m. on Friday and before Saturday morning. However, it was reported to the police only around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.

There has been damage to the outside of one business and police are investigating the scope of the incident. But it is an isolated incident.

Social media reports claim that the business belong to the owner of Reflections Banquet Hall in Surrey who has has faced numerous extortion threats. The owner says he has refused to pay the extortionists.
