Surrey business damaged by extortion-related shooting

SURREY Police Service (SPS) is investigating an early Sunday morning shots fired incident at a Surrey business — Paratha 2 Pasta — that has resulted in property damage.

At approximately 2:30 a.m. on December 14, SPS frontline officers responded to calls of possible shots fired outside a business located in the 8000-block of 120 Street. SPS officers found that the exterior of the business had been damaged by gunshots. There were staff inside at the time, but thankfully nobody was injured.

SPS’s Frontline Investigative Support (FLIS) Team has taken conduct of the investigation. The investigation is in its early stages and investigators will be in the area and continuing to gather both digital and physical evidence. SPS will liaise with police partners to determine if there are any links to other files. At this early stage, it is believed to be extortion related.

Anyone with information about this incident, including the identities of the suspects or has CCTV or dashcam footage, is asked to contact the SPS non-emergency line at 604-599-0502 and quote file number 25-110879 (SP).
