Surrey collision sends pedestrian to hospital with critical injuries

SURREY Police Service is investigating a serious collision on Sunday night that sent a pedestrian to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

On February 9 shortly before 9:20 p.m., frontline officers responded to a report of a pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle near the intersection of King George Boulevard and 100 Avenue. The driver remained at the scene of the collision. The pedestrian, an adult man, was transported to hospital for treatment of critical, potentially life-threatening, injuries.

SPS has contacted the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) to assist. The investigation is in its early stages, and it is unknown what caused the collision between the vehicle and pedestrian.
