ON Thursday, August 26 at 6:30 p.m., Surrey Police Service (SPS) will be hosting an information session for experienced police officer candidates. Individuals interested in gaining more information concerning employment with SPS should visit the “Information Sessions” page at www.surreypolice.ca/careers/information-sessions on the day of the event to join the session.
The SPS said in a statement: “Considering recent developments, specifically the establishment of the Surrey Police Union (SPU) and the announcement of the November 30, 2021, deployment date for SPS officers, we anticipate that many experienced officer candidates will have questions. For this event we have assembled a panel of SPS officers who have varied law enforcement backgrounds with both municipal and RCMP agencies, to answer questions. They have successfully navigated their careers over to SPS and will be able to offer valuable information to prospective candidates. They will also share their firsthand experiences which will benefit the discussions overall.”
There will be future information sessions for both experienced officers and new recruits. Visit www.surreypolice.ca/careers to stay current on all SPS job postings and upcoming events.
