SURREY RCMP are asking for the public’s help to identify two suspects and a vehicle involved in an armed robbery at an immigration consultant’s office.

On Friday, May 24, police responded to a robbery at a business in the 9200-block of 120 Street. Frontline officers attended the area and learned that two men had entered the business with what appeared to be firearms.

The two men then spoke with one of the employees and stole a cell phone as they walked out. The two suspects were wearing masks and fled in a vehicle.

Punjabi journalist Gurpreet Singh Sahota reported on X: “An immigration consultant in Surrey was threatened by two gunmen in his office. They were asking him why he hadn’t been answering their boss’s phone. He said he had received a phone call a few weeks ago demanding a ransom. They took his cell phone. The whole episode was recorded on CCTV, and he has already reported it to the police.”

This is quite obviously an extortion attempt by South Asian gangsters targeting South Asian businesses.

Surrey RCMP are now sharing photos of two suspects and the vehicle used in the commission of this offence.
