Surrey RCMP seek witnesses to pedestrian hit-and-run

SURREY RCMP are seeking witnesses to a pedestrian hit-and-run and urge the suspect driver to come forward.

On Sunday, April 21 at 4:55 p.m., Surrey RCMP responded to a report of a male pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle near the 19100-block of 74 Avenue. The man was treated at scene for non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital for further assessment.

The suspect vehicle is described as:

* Grey pickup truck
* Two-door with a rear seat
* Black box liner
* Silver wheels with seven spokes
The vehicle is believed to have sustained damage to the front passenger’s side area

“Thankfully the pedestrian was not seriously injured as a result of the collision,” said Cpl. James Mason, Media Relations Officer with Surrey RCMP. “Police are urging the driver involved in the collision to do the right thing and come forward.”
