THE Surrey RCMP South Community Response Unit (CRU) has been conducting targeted enforcement since the beginning of September to address the dangerous driving behaviors in the Strawberry Hill area.
Officers conducted over 150 vehicle traffic stops, in which the following enforcement actions were taken:
- 56 violation tickets issued
- 7 vehicles impounded
- 3 prohibited drivers charged
- 2 Immediate Roadside Prohibition issued
- 1 drug investigation
- 3 files for street racing and stunting
“The goal of this enforcement is to educate and enhance road safety for the drivers and pedestrians of the shopping complex,” said Sgt. Robert Keay, South Community Response Unit, on Wednesday.
