Surrey RCMP: Wanted man Kwabena Bosiako arrested

SURREY RCMP announced on Wednesday that wanted man Kwabena Bosiako is in custody.

Bosiako had left his court-mandated residence in Surrey and removed his electronic monitoring device. Since then, officers with the Surrey RCMP Gang Enforcement Team had been leading the search for him, following up on a number of investigative avenues.

On June 7 at approximately 9:45 a.m., the Surrey RCMP High Risk Target Team with the assistance of the Integrated Lower Mainland Emergency Response Team arrested Bosiako at the Columbia Square complex in New Westminster. He was transported to Surrey RCMP cells.

Bosiako was under 24/7 house arrest with conditions including electronic monitoring while awaiting trial on charges in relation to a Port Coquitlam armed robbery that occurred on November 22, 2022, at the Journey Chrysler car dealership located at 1881 Lougheed Highway. Also, shots were fired at Coquitlam RCMP members.

The charges include multiple counts of robbery using an unauthorized firearm, discharging a firearm with intent and flight from police.

Bosiako also had an outstanding arrest warrant out of Burnaby for dangerous operation of a conveyance that was issued on June 5, 2023.
