Serious pedestrian-involved collision in Surrey

The intersection of 108 Avenue and 140 Street is now open to traffic

 

SURREY RCMP are advising the public of road closures at 108 Avenue and 140 Street following a serious motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian.

On Thursday, October 14 at 5:39 a.m., Surrey RCMP responded to the report of the collision. The pedestrian sustained significant injuries and was transported to hospital.

Investigators from the Surrey RCMP Criminal Collison Investigation Team (CCIT) are on scene conducting their investigation. The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with police.

Police said that 108 Avenue and 140 Street will be shut down in all directions until further notice and are asking the public to avoid the area.

If you were in this area at the time of the collision and have dashcam footage, you are requested to contact Surrey RCMP. As well, if you were a witness to this incident and have not spoken to police, you are requested to call them.
