SURREY’S Bollywood Hungama students at this year’s Showtime Promotions’ grand championship in Kelowna from July 2 to 5 competed in the international  category and won gold for both juniors and seniors teams.

They also won third prize in the overall best performance category award and the best choreography in Dream Team Dance Festival.

In May, the students had won gold and high gold as well as the best performance and best choreography awards at the Showtime Promotions competition at the Surrey Art Centre.

Dance schools in B.C., Alberta and Saskatchewan compete in this prestigious competition that is held in different cities, including Surrey, where schools from the Lower Mainland participate and are given the chance to take part in the grand championship in Kelowna.
