THE Vancouver Junos Host Committee, along with the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS), on Thursday announced the return of the Junos to Vancouver next year.
The 2025 Juno Week will be held from Wednesday, March 26 to Sunday, March 30, concluding with the 54th Annual Juno Awards Broadcast, airing live on CBC and CBC Gem from Rogers Arena. This will mark the fifth time the awards have been held in the city.
Vancouver previously hosted the awards in 2018, with Michael Bublé as host. The 2018 Juno Awards Week was resoundingly well received, with nearly 29,000 attendees. These activities also generated $10.9 million in economic activity in British Columbia, and a $5.8 million boost to the province’s GDP.
Over the past six years, the legacy of the 2018 Vancouver Junos has lived on. The Let’s Hear It brand, developed by the 2018 Vancouver Host Committee has evolved into a regional concert series and emerging talent showcase program administered by Music BC and has highlighted over 75 new and emerging artists from across B.C., helping them grow their local fanbase and industry connections. Thursday’s announcement featured Snotty Nose Rez Kids and Khanvict, both previously Let’s Hear It alumni and was held at The Fox Cabaret, a Let’s Hear It venue. The 2018 Juno Awards also marked the Province’s official announcement of Amplify BC, which has since grown into a multi-year funding strategy with programs to support B.C.’s music sector.
Seven years later, Vancouver is primed to welcome back Canada’s Biggest Night in Music.
“B.C. is a hotbed for emerging talent, and the Junos bring with it opportunities for diverse artists and audiences alike to come together and celebrate our vibrant music scene,” said Nate Sabine, Vancouver Juno Host Committee Co-Chair and President of Music BC. “We’re incredibly proud of the legacy Music BC has continued to develop and bringing The Juno Awards back gives us another avenue to continue the work we’ve done to extend, include, and incubate British Columbia’s music industry.”
To support this mandate, Province of British Columbia is investing $2 million towards the cost of hosting the awards so that British Columbians and visitors can participate in community-driven events throughout the province during the five-day Juno Week festivities.
“With the strength of our vibrant music industry, British Columbia is the perfect place to host the Juno Awards,” said Lana Popham, Minister of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sport. “We can’t wait to welcome music lovers and artists from across the country to Vancouver in 2025. Being the host of the Juno Awards means more than just enjoying good music. It’s also an opportunity to drive tourism, which will create more jobs and support local businesses. This is a unique moment to celebrate our success in transforming B.C. into a national music hub through our Amplify BC investment.”
As the biggest celebration of Canadian music talent, the Juno Awards are expected to bolster economic activity by attracting tens of thousands of visitors to take part in JUNO Week festivities, resulting in an increase in hotel bookings, more customers for local restaurants, and a boost to various sectors of the hospitality industry.
The 2025 Vancouver Junos Host Committee is also supported by Founding Partners: Creative BC, Destination Vancouver, the City of Vancouver, Downtown Vancouver BIA and Music BC.
“We are proud to bring the Juno Awards back to B.C. and celebrate the achievements of Canada’s music industry,” said Prem Gill, CEO, Creative BC. “Through our Amplify BC fund, Creative BC supports B.C.’s music and sound recording industry, and we’re excited for the opportunities the JUNOS will provide to showcase B.C.’s tremendous musical talent.”
“Vancouver will be an exceptional showcase for this weeklong celebration of musical achievement and Canadian artistry, as well as an opportunity to support our local tourism and hospitality businesses. Hosting the Junos next year adds another remarkable event to the calendar and will draw visitors to our city to experience everything the West Coast has to offer,” said Royce Chwin, President and CEO, Destination Vancouver.
“The Juno Awards is not just about the music, it’s about bringing people together,” said Bob D’Eith, Parliamentary Secretary for Arts and Film. “The Juno Awards provide an amazing opportunity for local musicians to showcase their talent. Let’s get ready to celebrate music and its incredible power to connect us all.”
