SURREY RCMP announced on Saturday they are investigating the theft of three semi-tractor trucks that were stolen from the 9800-block of 192nd Street overnight. All three vehicles have been recovered.
On April 6, just after 7 a.m., the owner of the company that owns the vehicles advised police he was following one of the stolen semi-tractor trucks near the Surrey / Langley border. Police officers from both Langley and Surrey RCMP responded to the area. The semi-tractor truck was abandoned in the 4000-block of 200th Street, and a lone male was seen fleeing from the truck. A police service dog attempted to track the suspect, but drew a blank.
The suspect is described as a white male, 40 to 50 years old, skinny build, with possible facial hair. The male was last seen wearing a dark coloured baseball hat, and wearing dark coloured clothes.
Surrey RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance. Anyone who may have been in the area of 40th Avenue and 200th Street in Langley and observed the male that fled from the semi-tractor truck or may have video of the male are asked to call Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 or CrimeStoppers in reference to Surrey File # 2019-048482.
