Three taken into custody for target shooting in Burnaby park

ON Wednesday (March 6) at about 8:40 p.m., the RCMP responded to a report of loud bangs being heard in Confederation Park in North Burnaby. Police found three people who appeared to have been target shooting with a hunting rifle.

Two adult males and one adult female were taken into custody. They are facing a variety of firearms-related charges. None of the persons taken into custody are known to police.

An extensive search of the park using the Integrated Police Dog Services did not come across any injured people or animals.
