TransLink disables some online services as it investigates suspicious network activity

TRANSLINK is investigating suspicious network activity which impacted some of its information technology systems early Tuesday morning. Out of an abundance of caution, TransLink disabled access to some online services which may impact customers.

The current impacts include:

  • Customers will not be able to use a credit card or debit card at Compass Card vending machines or Tap to Pay fare gates. Customers can still use cash at vending machines and staff will be on hand to assist customers having any difficulties purchasing fares.
  • Stored value may take longer than usual to load onto a Compass Card.
  • Various online services, such as the Trip Planner tool, have been disabled. Customers may choose to use Google Trip Planner.

All transit services remain uninterrupted and are operating regularly.
