Two suspects in alleged Richmond break-and-enter charged

SHORTLY after 6:30 a.m. on March 8, frontline Richmond RCMP officers responded to a residential break-and-enter in the 8000-block of Heather Street. The owner contacted police after reportedly hearing intruders in the home.

The suspects had fled prior to police arrival but were located quickly nearby in a U-Haul truck. Both suspects were swiftly arrested without incident and evidentiary items recovered including break-in tools, police said.

“This homeowner recognized something unusual was going on, and contacted 911 immediately. Coupled with the quick, decisive and coordinated efforts by our frontline officers, the two suspects were located and arrested,” said Cpl. Dennis Hwang. “We want to reiterate to the community that the reduction of property crime and arresting those responsible for it is a top priority for us.”

The Prosecution Service of BC has approved the following charges against Whindyll Villalon Jordan, 31, and Hoang Huu Vuu, 34. Both men are from Richmond and each is charged with one count of break-and-enter.
