PREMIER John Horgan helped kick off Vaisakhi celebrations in the Hall of Honour in the BC Legislature on April 10. Vaisakhi is a festival celebrated by hundreds of thousands of British Columbians from South Asian backgrounds. It is of particular significance for BC’s Sikh community, as it honours the Sikh principles of generosity, peace, equality, and justice. The event featured entertainment from local performers, and an opportunity to share stories that reflect BC’s rich multicultural heritage.
