Vancouver Police search for suspects in Yaletown assault captured on video

VANCOUVER Police on Tuesday released video of an assault that took place last March in Yaletown and are asking for the public’s help to identify the suspects involved.

At about 2 a.m. on March 31, 2018, staff at Pierre’s Champagne Lounge called 9-1-1 to report that a fight had occurred and a man was unconscious. Officers arrived minutes later but the suspects had fled. The officers located two alleged victims. One victim had minor injuries. However, the second victim, a 28-year-old man from Burnaby, was transported to hospital with serious head injuries.

“This is a serious, disturbing assault. The victim continues to deal with the effects of his life-changing injuries,” said Sgt. Jason Robillard. “Detectives have been working behind-the-scenes to identify the suspects, but we now need the public’s help. We want to talk to all of the people involved and get their version of what took place that night.

Anyone with information about the men in the video, or about the incident, is asked to contact detectives at 604-717-2541 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
