Vancouver Police seek driver, witnesses in pedestrian-involved collision

VANCOUVER Police are investigating a serious collision that sent one person to hospital last week, and are asking the driver, or anyone with information to call police.

A 69-year-old woman was crossing Inverness Street at East 62nd Avenue on Friday, January 24 just after 5:30 p.m. when she was struck by the driver of a white or silver 4-door sedan. The woman was taken to hospital where she remains in critical condition.

“The driver of the sedan stayed with the pedestrian until paramedics arrived,” says Constable Tania Visintin. “Investigators have not spoken with him yet, and are asking him, or anyone who saw what happened to call police immediately.”

Anyone who saw the collision, or anyone with dash cam footage, is asked to call VPD’s Collision Investigation Unit at 604-717-3012.
