VANCOUVER Police are investigating a December 15 collision that resulted in the death of an 85-year-old pedestrian, and are asking witnesses or people with dash-cam video to come forward.
The collision occurred at about 4:50 p.m. in the intersection of Victoria Drive and East Broadway. As the pedestrian was attempting to cross Victoria DriveĀ on the north side, he was struck by a 2001 Toyota Sienna.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital with injuries, which were not initially believed to be life-threatening, but he later died in hospital.
Police have identified the driver as an 83-year-old Vancouver woman.
Anyone who saw the collision, or anyone passing through the intersection of Victoria Drive and East Broadway between 4:40 p.m. and 5 p.m. on December 15, is asked to call VPDās Collision Investigation Unit at 604-717-3012.
