THE 11th annual Canadian Tire Wickenheiser Female World Hockey Festival (WickFest) is back on Surrey ice from February 2 to 5 at North Surrey Sport and Ice Complex and the Surrey Sport & Leisure Complex, featuring a wide-range of events and activities to experience and enjoy.
WickFest will bring together teams from across Canada and the United States. There is also a full line-up of events and family-friendly activities planned.
This year’s festival will feature opportunities for para hockey and the Fire & Ice Game on Saturday, February 4.
Over 80 teams from as far as Atlantic Canada and the United States will compete in Surrey. Games will be open to the public to watch. Visit wickfest.com for ticket and event information. All event profits go to JumpStart and Right to Play.
“We’re looking forward to the largest and most successful event to date” said Hayley Wickenheiser, four-time Olympic gold medalist and event founder. “We’re so thankful to the City of Surrey for providing support and space for our tournament to grow and aid in providing an opportunity for young girls to try a sport they may not otherwise have considered.”
