Dementia program in Punjabi helps put Minds in Motion in Abbotsford

A fitness and social program for Punjabi-speaking people living with any form of early-stage dementia is seeking participants in the Abbotsford area.

Minds in Motion, an Alzheimer Society of B.C. program, provides gentle exercises followed by social activities designed to be enjoyed in pairs. It’s open to area residents with early-stage dementia and will be conducted in Punjabi. Care partners must attend.

The program runs Wednesdays from 10 to 11:30 a.m. through June 26 at Multipurpose Room 5 in the Matsqui Recreation Centre, 3106 Clearbrook Road. Registration is available online, by phone or in-person. Visit https://rb.gy/yok7t2 or call 604-855-0500.
