Liberal MP Aldag wants to run as BC NDP candidate in Langley-Abbotsford riding

AN Abbotsford newspaper is reporting that Liberal MP John Aldag (Cloverdale-Langley City) is resigning from his seat as of May 27 to try and get nominated as the BC NDP candidate in the Langley-Abbotsford riding.

The Abbotsford News said that Aldag confirmed on May 17 that he will be seeking the nomination.

This means that there will be a byelection for the federal riding and it will be interesting to see if the Liberals will be able to hold on to that seat. You can be certain that the Conservatives will spare no effort to try and win in that riding.
