A man has been arrested by Surrey Police Service (SPS) and is now charged with two Criminal Code offences following two alleged bank robberies that recently occurred in Surrey.
On Saturday, June 6 at approximately 10:50 a.m., SPS frontline officers responded to a report of a bank robbery near 104 Avenue and King George Boulevard where one man allegedly threatened staff that he had a weapon and departed with money. The suspect was not located. There were no reported injuries.
On Monday, June 8, 2026, at approximately 11 a.m., SPS frontline officers responded to a report of a bank robbery near 128 Street and 96 Avenue where one man allegedly threatened staff that he had a weapon and departed with money. The suspect was not located. There were no reported injuries.
The investigations remained with SPS frontline officers, and with the assistance of Integrated Forensics Identification Services (IFIS), and Real Time Intelligence Center (RTIC), officers were able to identify a suspect and arrest him on Tuesday, June 9.
On Wednesday, June 10, Gregory Roca Bates Pedro, a 22-year-old male, was charged with two counts of robbery.
Pedro is currently remanded in custody until his next court appearance on June 15.
