23-year-old man known to police turns up at Surrey hospital with gunshot wound

SURREY RCMP are investigating after a 23-year-old man known to police was dropped off at a local hospital with an apparent gunshot wound.

At approximately 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Surrey RCMP was notified by medical staff that a man arrived at the hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound to his leg. Police are now working to confirm the location of the shooting.

Although this investigation is in the early stages, police believe this was a targeted shooting linked to gang activity.
