THE Sunshine Coast RCMP are investigating a report of an assault on a BC ferry on December 26.

The incident occurred in the elevator of the 4:20 p.m. ferry that left from Horseshoe Bay for Langdale.  There may have been several witnesses who saw the suspect and victim immediately after the assault when the elevator opened, police say.

The victim, a 79-year-old Sechelt man, suffered injuries to his face.
