ON Sunday, June 15 at 5:10 p.m., frontline officers from the Abbotsford Police Department responded to a serious collision at the intersection of Gladwin Road and Chilcotin Drive involving a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle.
Emergency responders located a black Harley Davidson motorcycle and a grey Toyota Yaris, both with significant damage. The motorcycle rider sustained serious, life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital in the Vancouver area. The driver of the Toyota was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
At this time, impairment is not believed to be a contributing factor in the collision.
The investigation remains in its early stages, with support from the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS). The intersection has since been reopened to traffic.
