THE BC Prosecution Service (BCPS) announced on Thursday that charges have been approved against a Richmond RCMP officer following an incident that occurred in Richmond on December 25, 2025. The matter was investigated by the Coquitlam RCMP.
An Information charging Constable Jae Suk Choi with one count of theft under $5,000, and one count of breach of trust was sworn on June 4 in Richmond Provincial Court. The first appearance on this matter is scheduled for June 16.
The charges were approved by an experienced Crown Counsel who has no connection with the accused.
